A Guide, A Counsellor

a guide, counsellor
with us to dwell.
He appeared, like a dove,
shelt' ring wings outspread,
healing, peace and love,
on earth to shed.
He comes now to teach, subdue,
and to convice;
He came as the wind,
and as viewless too.

will our gracious guest,
to each humble heart,
