Almost too good to be
It is a thing most wonderful,
almost to good to be,
that His Son came down,
to save a child like me.
And yet I know that it is true;
he came to earth below,
and he wept, toiled and died,
because he lov'd us so.
I cannot tell how he could love
someone full of sin;
his love must be most wonderful
for he died my love to win.
And now I want to love you, Lord;
teach me to grow in grace,
loving you more and more,
until I see your face.
