I Can Trust In You Words and music by Richard Blauvelt In Your word I have learned You are God and King. Creator of the universe, Lord of everything. Your handiwork's so plain to see. Mountains, rivers, flowers and trees. And I know I need to trust in You Lord You say You know me well I believe it's true. You know my heart, my thoughts, my deeds, know me through and through. Nothing's hidden from Your sight You see it all, what's wrong, what's right. And You know I need to trust in You. Sometimes trusting isn't easy. Lord I must confess it's true. The innocent are slain, injustice not constrained and the righteous cry in vain to You. Almighty God who reigns in heaven, You seem so distant and aloof. Could You ever understand the plight of mortal man, know his struggles, dreams and plans. Can You? Lord You shed Your deity and came to earth as man. Clothed in frail mortality, died and rose again. Like us You suffered grief and pain, man of sorrows, mocked and shamed. Made this choice to know what we go through and because of this I can trust in You Copyright © 2004 by Richard Blauvelt More music from Grace Street is available at www.GraceStreetMusic.Org
