Christmas Time

Christmas time, much to do: shopping to complete,
meals to make, cards to send, decorate the tree.

Pause awhile, and reflect, on God's precious gift,
Our Saviour, Prince of Peace, He's the Son of God.

To that cold stable, shepherds came that night,
follow'd by the wise men from afar with their gifts.

Gold they gave, frankincense, and they gave him myrrh,
They are small, to God's gift, precious though they were:

For this babe that He gave, grew to be a man,
then He died on a cross this was God's great plan:

Forgiveness offers, for your sins and mine,
Jesus is the sinless, redeemer, God divine.

So when we take the gifts that we have been given,
turn to God, and give thanks for His gift from heav'n
