GOD PROMISED A SON

God promised a son to Abraham when he and Sarah were growing old.

The barren womb would be with child. And they both laughed when they were told.

It was a miracle from God when He gave them Isaac, their baby boy.

Now his descendents fill the earth and his Seed Jesus brings peace and joy.

God promised a son to a faithful priest whose wife, Elizabeth was old.

The barren womb would be with child. Zacharias doubted when he was told.

It was a miracle from God when Elizabeth bore a boy named John.

The Baptist calling Israel to their Messiah, God’s only Son.

God promised a Son to all the world, when hearts were faithless and icy cold.

The virgin’s womb would be with child. And Mary praised Him when she was told.

It was a miracle from God when the baby Jesus was born to her.

Give glory to God and sing His praise for He has lived here with us on earth.
