Verse 1
The Bible tells about a foolish and a wise
man
Who built their different houses in very different ways
One on rock and one on sand.
The foolish man, he built his house on
On shifting sand
And with the blowing rain, his house came crashing
down.

Chorus
But the wise man built his house upon a solid rock
foundation.
The rains came and the winds blew
And they beat against that house!
So if you are wise, you'll build your house on
On solid rock.
This is the only foundation. There's no other expla
nation.
Build on the rock that is God!

Verse 2
The Bible teaches us our lessons in parables.
They're parables, not fables, which certainly enables
Us to survive the storms!
So don't be foolish and don't build your
Your house on sand
'Cause with the blowing rain, your house will come crashing down!

Last Chorus
So be like the man who built his house upon the rock foundation.
When rains come and the winds blow,
And they beat against your house,
You'll be safe if you have built your house on
On solid rock.
This is the only foundation, there's no other explanation!
Build on the rock that is God!
